Job Description:

Reporting to the CFO, you’ll be responsible for supervising the accounting and treasury functions. Key accounting functions include performing the monthly close, reviewing bank reconciliations and journal entries, overseeing AP and AR activities, reviewing payroll, and account analysis. Treasury functions include financial analysis, budgeting, cash management, and forecasting.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in and supervise month-end close activities and general accounting responsibilities
• Create procedures to make the close and reporting processes more efficient and accurate
• Supervise and prepare monthly internal consolidated financial statements prepared on GAAP basis
• Participate in the creation and implementation of internal controls, monitoring of accounting processes, review of journal entries, review of payroll, review of financial statements and review of reconciliations of general ledger accounts
• Develop and maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting policies, financial systems, transaction processes, internal controls, and chart of accounts
• Prepare and/or review account analyses and monthly analytical review of balance sheets and income statements
• Work with customers, vendors, insurance agents, auditors, bankers, attorneys, and other outside individuals
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the CEO or CFO

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 5 - 7 years of accounting management experience
• CPA preferred
• Strong experience in supervising accounting staff in the preparation, review and analysis of financial statements and other financial information
• Experience with budgeting, audit, consolidations, and financial modeling
• SEC experience is a plus
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient in Quickbooks or other accounting software
