Job Description:

The Operations Accountant is a key member of the accounting team, responsible for collaborating with our worldwide operations teams to produce accurate and timely reporting of:

• Inventory held at our U.S. parent company and Asian subsidiaries
• Cost of goods sold including materials, labor, and factory overhead
• Intercompany transfers of materials and finished goods within the Virtuix group
• Other operations-related information and analysis requested by management and our auditors

This role requires strong technical accounting skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily, weekly, and monthly inventory-management procedures performed by our operations teams. Ensure compliance with company policies and standard accounting practices.
• Monitor transactions with suppliers, customers, and subsidiaries. Ensure that operations staff maintain proper record-keeping practices, including precise matching of purchase orders, shipping documents, delivery records, invoices, and payments. Work proactively with operations staff to resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and analyze monthly inventory, COGS, and other operations-related reports. Allocate costs by activity and product line.
• Maintain depreciation schedules for fixed assets used in operations.
• Participate in monthly closings and assist the accounting team in preparing groupwide consolidated financial reports.
• Assist in developing and implementing internal controls, process improvements, and automation initiatives.
• Participate in annual financial audits and respond to requests from auditors for supporting documents and analysis from operations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or college certificate in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
• Minimum 3 years of related experience at a business that warehouses and distributes physical products (factory experience preferred)
• Intermediate-level proficiency in Excel (advanced level preferred)
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and basic knowledge of GAAP
• Public accounting and/or audit experience a plus
• Experience with intercompany transactions at offshore subsidiaries a plus
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Enthusiastic, supportive attitude toward accounting colleagues and members of other teams
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability and willingness to meet strict deadlines
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
